Never Give Up !

I love the closing remarks of Muhammud Yunus, "irrespective of what you learn in school always be ready to unlearn and relearn. Don't give up dreaming. Be a dreamer and keep on trying to make the dream come true. Dream about the world you would like to have. If we all dream about a better world, I can guarantee you that we will create a better world."

I absolutely loved learning about Entrepreneurship and consecration. Elder Robert Gay, a very successful business man, spoke from his very soul on how he felt about about entrepreneurship in connection with the gospel. He asked the questions, "Where/how must you keep your hearts when it comes to business? Have I rescued anyone lately? Am I a willing and able servant?" The scripture says, "And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant."

How grateful I am to live in a free country, I really am. This past Tuesday we celebrated the 4th of July and lit fireworks off like 'crazy' in commemoration of this Nation's freedom. I've been thinking recently of how many refer to my rising generation as millennials. I'm sure that part of this has to do with increasing technology and access to information, yet also the blessing of not having to worry about loosing our lives or freedom. According to Larry Brilliant from google he says that we are, A New Breed of Entrepreneurs, and as such will start to change the world if we but have, "not only the science but the will."

Lastly, I say along with Sheryl Sandberg "Have a vision that scales and is compelling" for this is of uttermost importance in great leadership. It is so important to dream the impossible, and fight the unbeatable we are children of God and have infinite worth and infinite potential, yet for us to have endurance through it all we must remember 'why' we do/dream/fight our causes, and stick to it. Go forward with faith, have not fear, but be believing!

What I've learned and experienced so far this week: This week my mind has been surprisingly calm and content. What makes this ironic is because my dad and sister have been down in Rexburg to visit me. So instead of doing the usual homework school grind, we have been partying! Surrounded by knowledge and opportunity

I'm not one who looks forward to blogging, but I just have to share what has just gone on right now. Now towards the end of a long day I've found myself on the floor, surrounded by volumes of books and knowledge. I'm filled with gratitude and certain curiosity of what the future could hold. I share this because in life sometimes we can find ourselves 'on the floor'. Maybe feeling like we just can't get up and we should just pack it in and call it a day. My message is to look around! There is opportunities surrounding us every day, we just have to have the courage to pick something up and try it. I have spent the last 15 minuets learning about the joy's of Real Estate investing! I have always been curious in this and many other things too, not sure if i'll pursue it, but was willing to do some research. Creating good culture in company's seem to be one of the most difficult tasks to accomplish. I recently had the incredible privilege to speak with Clay Olson Entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Fight The New Drug at his office in Salt Lake regarding this topic.
